Bite late but, you got a part # for those triple clamps? I tried looking but..
They never came to market. Ohlins made 8 sets that were for their forks specifically and they decided not to put them into production. Just too expensive.

Does a front fork brace help in any way on DR650? I noticed you don't have one. Many people swear by them but maybe the DR is light weight enough that it doesn't do much on these bikes?

Learning how to work on your own bike will teach you skills that apply to so many things in life. Have fun!
I like the stock carb if you can ever get it sorted. It is a smooth as butter in single track. Put on a Supertrap slip on, but always had to choose between loud and free flowing when dialing the number of discs in. It couldn't do both quiet and open. Anyone know if the Yoshi is better? Thanks , and nice build you did here.

Seen this bike like this are awesome.. this bike are a legend.. even when wen we had XR650R what are like dinosaur - dying off.. but DR stays.. Thanks for review.. Helped me with decision to sell it to free up some space in garage or to keep it.. seems like this Legend will be for keeping and upgrading it to become an a savage bush pig as it's soul demands... Enough for a pitch roads on SuMo tires. :)
Does this bike has the same need for rebuilding top ends often like the motorcross bike? This is my concern with going with the wr or the fx since they are based on the motorcross bike.

So the de is a good off road bike?
It’s under appreciated for its capabilities offroad for sure. Are there better offroad ADV’s on the market? Of course. But the DE holds its own and when you account for the excellent motor and the value proposition… it’s a very good buy. If you want something that is purpose built for offroad riding you might want to look at an 890 Adventure R/Rally or maybe the Ducati DesertX Rally.

How come on the new bikes the air filter doesn’t completely fit inside the lip that sticks up? I always have one corner overhanging on my 24. Can’t get all sides tucked in. Makes me nervous.

The Recluse should come.with new.dampers , are they kidding?
Why? If you are installing the clutch in a bike with good dampers, use them. If they are worn out, you needed to replace them anyhow. All that would do is increase the price of the kit for something you might not need.

The front fender is the Gray Suzuki DRZ400SM fender. You can get it from any Suzuki dealer. They may have to order it though as it is not a commonly stocked item.
